A light plane has crashed into a ferris wheel at a festival in NSW, leaving people trapped in the plane and children stuck on the ride.

Latest report is.....

pilot didn't see the ferris wheel until he landed in it.  :whatever:

Meantime police are about to charge him for stealing a free ride.....you're supposed to buy a ticket before you get on the ferris wheel.   :mwink:

I heard a rumour the pilot was related to Captain Malcom.

I can just see a whole new section in the company manual being written 'It is the Captains responsibility to ensure that the aircraft is not flown in close proximity to a Ferris wheel. If however the aircraft has to be flown in close proximity to a Ferris wheel, then it is the Captains responsibility to ensure that all crew and passengers have tickets to such Wheel. All tickets purchased by crew maybe reimbursed by using the appropriate form in triplicate with the exact details of the carriage the aircraft is flown into, incomplete forms will not be accepted.'
If you are close enough to see me then you should buy me a beer.

This raises several important questions about the ferris wheel/aeroplane ride industry.

Who is better to deal with? The carnies or CASA? Who has more teeth?

Can you use an Apache gunship to shoot those farking ducks instead of the rigged air rifles the carnies have?

I think you're right.  I don't think I'll take things so far with the carnies, but I'm definitely taking my pumpy to the next school fete.
