Indeed, thats one of them.Other test points include the 3g pull up from final approach followed by a wingover into the ground and of course ensuring sufficient room in front of the Captains seat for a kneeling flight attendant whilst in flight.....

Isn't it funny.  I always thought the "shiny top" test and the "lighter between the thrust lever" tests were independent of other testing.

What about the "Cognac taxi trials" where tests are conducted to see how well Malcom can steer individual aircraft after varying amounts of cognac?

They are done in the simulator these days.Can you imagine the problems that would be caused if Malcolm wrote off an aircraft BEFORE take off?

Not really, I thought the manufacturers would be anticipating it.  Makes sense to me.
